PPWR Compliance - Terms of Service

Last Updated: September 9, 2026

1. The Service

PPWR Compliance is a packaging compliance workspace for Shopify merchants selling into the European Union. It helps you determine producer-responsibility obligations under EU Regulation (EU) 2025/40 ("PPWR") and comparable national packaging registers (such as LUCID, IDU, CONAI) by combining a responsibility questionnaire, packaging bills of materials (BOM), order aggregation by destination country, evidence gap detection, and exportable audit packages.

2. Audit Packages & Payment

The App offers one-time audit packages, billed through Shopify as single charges in USD. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal:

  • Basic audit - $29: responsibility conclusion page, packaging inventory, and order-country aggregation, up to 50 SKUs.
  • Full audit - $59: everything in Basic, plus the evidence gap list (supplier document gaps and official registration status lookups), up to 200 SKUs.
  • Handoff pack - $99: everything in Full, plus the service-provider handoff package and a 30-minute review call, up to 200 SKUs.

SKU counts above a package's limit are billed at $0.10 per additional SKU. If you sell into more than 3 destination countries, scope is quoted separately before you are charged. Each charge must be explicitly confirmed by you in the Shopify checkout; we never charge without your confirmation.

3. Not Legal Advice

The App and its deliverables are not legal advice. Rules are summarized from (EU) 2025/40 and current national schemes as of the date shown in each deliverable. Responsibility conclusions are marked "pending confirmation" where a lawyer or compliance advisor should confirm them. For binding guidance, rely on official sources and your own advisors.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide or import (packaging BOM entries, supplier evidence, questionnaire answers, and any CSV or Shopify order data). The App processes and aggregates what you supply; it cannot verify supplier statements or register records on your behalf.

5. Data Handling

We process your data only as described in our Privacy Policy. When you uninstall the App, your store data is deleted within 48 hours via the Shopify shop/redact webhook.

6. Refunds

Charges are one-time payments processed by Shopify. If a package was charged in error, or its deliverables cannot be produced from your data, contact us and we will refund the charge or resolve the issue case by case.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the data you provide. We retain all rights to the App, its rule configurations, and its documentation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the App or purchase of a package is limited to the amount you paid for that package. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, regulatory penalties, or outcomes that depend on data you supplied or on advice you did or did not obtain from qualified advisors.

9. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the App or applicable rules; the "Last Updated" date above changes when we do. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it, which ends this agreement and triggers the data deletion described in the Privacy Policy.
